Anniversary of 'Arengo and Feast of the Militias 3/25/2017 - City of San Marino

The national holiday of March 25 recalls the Arengo of 1906 which marked the end of the oligarchic period and the birth of a parliament directly elected by the citizens. At this event it was associated the Feast of the Body Military. Their Excellencies the Captains Regent deliver medals loyalty and seniority to the Military who have served with honor and dedication to the Republic. The ceremony starts at 9.00 am in Piazza della Libertà, continue in front of the Ara of Volunteers, in the Basilica del Santo, ending in Piazza della Libertà with the intervention of the military authorities and Government and the lowering of the flag.
