Ceremony of the Captains Regent Settlement

A ceremony celebrating the memory of ancient settlement, for six months, of the Captains Regent, representatives of the Republic of San Marino.

The day starts at 9.45 am with the deployment of Military Corps and the flag-raising ceremony in Freedom Square. At 10.40 am Procession of the elected Captains Regent he went to the Basilica del Santo for the celebration of a religious rite. The procession then returns to the Government Building at 11.30 am for the official prayer.
This is the highlight of the ceremony that sees the Captains Regent oath and receive the investiture.
At 12:30, the procession heads to Palazzo Valloni and return to Freedom Square for the lowering of the flag.
