Medieval Days -
Jumping into the Past
Where? In San Marino, of course. On top of Monte Titano, where since 1993 they take place the four days of midsummer celebrations which are characterized by authentically medieval flair.
Since the afternoon, all the "Contrade" within the walls of the Old Town become a great open-air theater, where everyone will find immersed in the distant past and can meet fascinating scenes of genuine medieval life at each corner.
It will be amazing to see so many street-artists, and flag-waving parades with skillful drummers parade through our narrow streets.
Famous historical groups coming from cities of traditions of Arts will bring to life the fascinating history of Middle Age. Highlight of the festival is the "Cava dei Balestrieri", where the evening shows take place: soldiers and horsemen who face each other in daring challenges, games and short flags.
You can experience this historic journey also thanks to the cuisine: the Middle Ages are also served at the table!
The downtown restaurants offer menus in fact inspired by the recipes of the time.
